Frequently Asked Questions - Student Contest
Who is eligible to submit videos?
Any K-12 teacher, parent or guardian of a K-12 student (known as the “sponsor”) may submit videos on behalf of his or her students/children.
What are the requirements for the video?
Videos should answer the question " What Economic Advice Would You Give to Your Mayor?” in 60 seconds or less. Videos must be less than or equal to 25 MB in size.
No student participants should name themselves or other student participants in the video.
Can I still enter if my town doesn’t have a Mayor?
Yes! Think of it as giving advice to whomever is the “CEO” of your town. For most U.S. cities and towns it is a mayor, but we know that some towns have a selectman, some villages have a village president, and some unincorporated areas follow their county. Go ahead, give the best economic advice you can to your municipal or local leader and submit your entry!
When are video entries due?
All entries are due for submission by 11:59 p.m. EST on October 18, 2023.
How many videos can each sponsor submit?
A sponsor may submit as many videos as they’d like.
Can more than one student be in a video?
Yes. Videos may be one student talking about or portraying their idea, or it may be multiple students doing so.
What format should I submit my videos in?
AVI, MOV, MPG, or WMV. Videos must be less than or equal to 25 MB in size. What happens once a video is submitted?
